Assessment and management of bank risks
This training course is designed for managers and operational staff of functional divisions of commercial banks engaged in risk management.
Course Objective:
To enhance the practical knowledge and skills of managers and operational employees of commercial banks in assessing and managing risks arising in banking activities.
Course Tasks:
- Explain the essence of the directions for reforming the country's banking system;
- Study the prudential requirements established by the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan regarding risks in the activities of commercial banks;
- Learn the methodologies for assessing risks in banking operations;
- Introduce the causes of risk occurrence;
- Study the methods of managing banking risks and the procedures for their application;
- Examine international experience in bank risk management and assess the possibilities of applying it in the practice of Uzbekistan;
- Evaluate the level of risks in the activities of banks in Uzbekistan;
- Familiarize with the new requirements of the Basel Committee on the assessment and management of banking risks;
- Analyze the tasks outlined in the Strategy for the Development of the Banking System of Uzbekistan for 2020–2025, aimed at reducing the level of banking risks.
The course program includes the following topics:
- Assessment and management of credit risk;
- Assessment and management of liquidity risk;
- Assessment and management of currency risk;
- Assessment and management of interest rate risk;
- Assessment and management of operational risk;
- Assessment and management of market (fund) risk.

Class schedule: daily from 09:00 to 16:00
Final assessment: test (offline format)
Participants who successfully pass the final test will be awarded a state-recognized certificate.
