On July 29, 2025, during meeting at the office of the Association “Uzeltexsanoat” between representatives of the Higher School of Business and the Association, participants of the meeting discussed prospects for innovative cooperation in developing Uzbekistan’s semiconductor industry and microelectronics. 

For reference. The association “Uzeltexsanoat is established in 2019. Main objective of the Association is to develop the Uzbekistan's electrotechnical industry, increase the production and export of electrotechnical products with high added value, as well as types of products.

The Association includes 87 member-participants, 15 of which are manufacturers of cable and wire products, 43 are manufacturers of household appliances and the remaining 29 are manufacturers of other electrotechnical products. According to the results of 2024, the production volume in the industry amounted to 31 trillion soums, and exports - 1.3 billion dollars, and more than 500 million dollars resources have been invested to the industry.

During the meeting, participants discussed the concept and strategic directions of the development of the semiconductor industry and microelectronics in Uzbekistan (design and architecture of microcircuits, testing and packaging, production of semiconductor products), study the experience of countries with a developed semiconductor industry and establish cooperation with relevant organizations, as well as the implementation of joint projects.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to pursue mutual cooperation to support and develop the semiconductor industry and microelectronics, to study the experience of foreign countries, the measures they take to develop the industry, to protect intellectual property in the field of semiconductors, and joint participation in forums, exhibitions and seminars on semiconductors and microelectronics held in the country and abroad.
