Today, particular attention is being paid to tourism development, improving service quality, and effectively utilizing the tourism potential of rural areas in Samarkand Region.

To this end, the Samarkand Regional Branch of the Graduate School of Business and Entrepreneurship under the Cabinet of Ministers, in cooperation with the Samarkand Regional Tourism Department, the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, and the International Tourism Academy, has organized a practical seminar-training entitled “Samarkand - The Tourism Gateway to New Uzbekistan”.

The event, which will run from October 12 to 16, brings together 40 managers of family guesthouses operating in the Qoratepa, Tersak, Omonqo‘ton and Bahrin mahallas of Urgut District.

During the seminar, participants are enhancing their knowledge and practical skills in opportunities and incentives for developing family tourism, digital marketing, attracting tourists, developing new tourism packages and using electronic auction platforms.

A distinctive feature of the event is the organization of a masterclass at one of the family guesthouses at the end of each training session. This approach is intended to help participants apply their theoretical knowledge in practice and promote the sharing of best practices.

The seminar-training is expected to contribute to improving the operations of family guesthouses, enhancing service quality, and further increasing the tourism appeal of Urgut District.
