Today, improving production efficiency at industrial enterprises, achieving high labor productivity and introducing quality systems into production processes are priority tasks for the national economy.

On 12 October 2026 Graduate School of Business and Entrepreneurship, in cooperation with the Directorate for the Management of Industrial Zones under the Fergana Regional Khokimiyat, launched a practical training seminar on the Lean Management System to improve production efficiency across sectors of the economy.

The seminar will run from 12 to 16 October and brings together representatives of 30 enterprises and businesses of the Fergana region. The sessions are conducted by Dr. Ing.Felix Fremerey, an experienced business consultant from Germany and a leading expert in lean manufacturing.

The programme aims to introduce lean manufacturing at industrial enterprises and to strengthen the knowledge and practical skills of specialists in this field. It focuses on improving the economic efficiency of production processes, ensuring high labor productivity and enhancing quality systems at industrial enterprises of the Fergana region.

During the practical sessions, participants will study modern management methods such as 5S, Kaizen, PDCA, Kanban and Value Stream Mapping, and will gain practical skills in applying them at their enterprises. Participants will also pay particular attention to identifying waste in production processes, reducing unnecessary costs and using resources efficiently.

As part of the seminar, participants will visit enterprises in the Fergana Small Industrial Zone that produce automotive accessories, plastic products and textiles. There they will study production processes on site, and the practical aspects of introducing lean management will be demonstrated.
