On 9 October, a practical seminar on training trainers and consultants in the implementation of lean manufacturing at industrial enterprises concluded at the Graduate School of Business and Entrepreneurship.
The seminar was led by F. Fremerey, an international business consultant from Germany, who trained the participants in a method for diagnosing production processes at industrial enterprises, covering every stage from the receipt of raw materials to the release of finished products, and in identifying different types of production losses.
Through practical examples, the participants learned to determine how value is created for the customer in production operations, as well as to identify excess costs, unnecessary production operations and waiting times that extend order lead times and increase material consumption. During the seminar, the expert presented tools for eliminating production losses, which contribute to lower production costs and savings in raw materials and supplies.
Based on specific training cases from industrial enterprises in Germany, China, Indonesia and other countries, the participants examined international experience in improving production efficiency through the introduction of lean manufacturing systems.
On the final day of the seminar, participants who passed the test on their knowledge of the lean manufacturing system were presented with certificates confirming the successful completion of the seminar.
As a result of the seminar, the faculty and staff of the Graduate School of Business will be able to conduct lean manufacturing training for enterprise managers and specialists, as well as provide business consulting services on the introduction of lean manufacturing methods at enterprises.
The lean manufacturing implementation programme will continue from 12 to 17 October in the small industrial zones of Fergana region, where the engineering and technical staff of industrial enterprises will receive practical training in applying 5S, Kanban, value stream mapping and PDCA tools directly on the shop floor.
