Graduate School of Business and Entrepreneurship and Research Institute of Semiconductor Physics and Microelectronics Discuss Strengthening Cooperation in Semiconductors and Microelectronics

On July 21, representatives of the Graduate School of Business and Entrepreneurship paid a visit to the Research Institute of Semiconductor Physics and Microelectronics at the Mirzo Ulugbek National University, where they held a meeting with the institute’s staff to discuss prospects for innovative cooperation.
For reference. The Institute conducts both fundamental and applied scientific research and implements innovative projects in the fields of semiconductor physics, microelectronics, materials science, geophysics, and alternative energy. It is also engaged in the commercialization of scientific research outcomes.
The Institute hosts a Scientific Innovation Center, an Interdepartmental Experimental Design Bureau for Higher Education, a cryogenic station, TashElectronics LLC, and eight specialized research laboratories. Additionally, the Institute is equipped with a unique scientific instrument — the EG-2 Sokol electrostatic accelerator.
During the meeting, participants discussed the current state of semiconductor and microelectronics production in Uzbekistan — including areas such as microcircuit design and architecture, testing and packaging, and the manufacturing of semiconductor products. The discussion also focused on the potential for further development of the industry, as well as the practical application and commercialization of scientific research and innovations conducted at the Institute.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to pursue mutual cooperation in the training of specialists in the semiconductor industry and microelectronics, to jointly support scientific initiatives and technology-driven projects, and to advance the accelerated development of the industry.
