Graduate School of Business and Entrepreneurship, together with the international e-commerce platform “Wildberries” and the local administration of the Rishtan District, held a seminar on “Supporting Small and Medium-Sized Businesses Through E-Commerce”.
The purpose of the seminar was to encourage the active participation of small and medium-sized businesses in e-commerce and to expand opportunities for transforming traditional entrepreneurship in an innovative way, using international e-commerce tools.
The seminar was attended by the Khokim of the Rishtan District, B. Kodirov, expert of the Graduate School of Business and Entrepreneurship, G. Usmanov, and representatives of “Wildberries” A. Ekubjanov, M. Tursunov, and T. Temirov.
The event brought together more than 70 business leaders, including artisans, small and medium-sized business representatives, trading companies and consumer goods producers.
A representative of the Graduate School of Business and Entrepreneurship explained the importance of e-commerce and its potential for the growth of small and medium-sized businesses, as well as its contribution to developing the consumer market and social sphere of the Rishtan District.
In particular, it was noted that e-commerce allows businesses to operate around the clock, reach global markets, and present their products to a multimillion audience at the same time. It also helps to significantly optimize production and marketing costs.
Representatives of “Wildberries,” in turn, spoke about how running an online store gives entrepreneurs access to a wide audience. Each month, the platform reaches more than 81 million users and processes up to 25 million orders per day, and its operations extend to the markets of 12 foreign countries.
It was emphasized that in Uzbekistan, “Wildberries” provides entrepreneurs with comprehensive support from opening an online store to expanding their activities on the platform.
During the seminar, an active discussion took place, along with practical sessions involving entrepreneurs and “Wildberries” experts.
The event concluded with a visit to artisan workshops and small and medium-sized businesses, where Wildberries experts provided hands-on support in opening an online store.
