Cooperation Between an Industrial Enterprise and the Scientific Community in the Chemical Industry Discussed

On July 24, 2026, a roundtable discussion was held at Ammofos-Maxam Joint Stock Company (JSC) to discuss further improving the company's operations through the development of cooperation with research institutes and specialized higher education institutions in the chemical industry.
Ammofos-Maxam JSC is one of Uzbekistan's leading manufacturers of nitrogen-phosphorus fertilizers for the country's agricultural sector.
The roundtable brought together representatives of Uzkimyosanoat JSC, Ammofos-Maxam JSC, scientists and researchers from the Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry, the Institute of Polymer Physics and Chemistry, Tashkent State University of Chemical Technology, the Tashkent Branch of the D. Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia, as well as experts from the Graduate School of Business and Entrepreneurship.
During the event, participants became acquainted with the production activities of Ammofos-Maxam JSC, its range of chemical products, the current challenges related to ensuring uninterrupted production and achieving the company's financial and economic targets for the current year, as well as promising areas for the development of new types of chemical products.
Representatives of the scientific institutions proposed research-based approaches to addressing the existing challenges in order to ensure the integrity and uninterrupted operation of technological processes. They also outlined opportunities to further enhance the company's production capacity by utilizing new technological and scientific solutions.
During the discussions, experts from the Graduate School of Business and Entrepreneurship presented a number of proposals aimed at improving the company's financial and economic performance, developing new investment projects based on the processing of industrial waste generated during the production of mineral fertilizers and manufacturing new types of products.
The participants also held an extensive exchange of views on establishing effective cooperative ties with the scientific community to further enhance the performance of Ammofos-Maxam JSC.
In particular, the participants put forward the following initiatives:
Developing and piloting innovative solutions to meet the company's needs within the framework of pilot projects implemented jointly with research institutes;
Developing new materials, testing market demand for them and organizing their industrial-scale production with the support of Ammofos-Maxam JSC, while taking into account international best practices;
Expanding cooperation and partnership with small business entities to promote the development of the small-scale chemical industry and increase its contribution to value creation;
Continuing efforts to develop solutions for the processing and utilization of phosphogypsum through the attraction of foreign investment.
In the concluding part of the event, the participants visited the production facilities of Ammofos-Maxam JSC, where they became familiar with the company's technological processes and the key stages of mineral fertilizer production.
