In the Republic, consistent measures are being implemented to support entrepreneurial initiative, develop small business and promote employment. Special attention is given to the development of women’s entrepreneurship and expanding opportunities for acquiring practical knowledge and skills.
The Khorezm Regional Branch of the Graduate School of Business and Entrepreneurship has conducted short-term training courses in the areas of “Marketing Services and Organization of Advertising for Goods and Services” and “Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship”. Graduates of these courses are successfully applying the knowledge gained in practice.
For example, M. Iskandarova, an individual entrepreneur and craftswoman, after completing the “Marketing Services and Organization of Advertising for Goods and Services” course, received a concessional loan of 5.7 million soums and a subsidy for the purchase of a sewing machine worth 5 million soums.
An entrepreneur from the Koshkupir district of the Khorezm region, Sh. Kodirova, completed the same course. Today, they are engaged in sewing national and modern clothing, producing products that are distinguished by high quality and originality. Particular attention is paid to developing the "ustoz-shogird" tradition, within which women and youth are trained in sewing and gain opportunities for professional development and employment.
In the Gurlan district, entrepreneur Sh. Tajiyeva, having completed the “Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship” course, established the production of grain and grain-based products. Within the framework of the “Family Entrepreneurship” program, she received two concessional loans of 33 million soums each, which enabled her to expand production and create new jobs.
Short-term training courses contribute to the development of entrepreneurial skills, the establishment and expansion of businesses, as well as job creation and the socio-economic development of regions.
