A seminar-training on “Startup Basics” was held in the Samarkand region

The Samarkand Regional Branch of the Graduate School of Business and Entrepreneurship, in cooperation with the KOIKA Vocational Training Center, organized a seminar as part of the “Startup Basics” training course for young people interested in startup ideas, startup founders with their own business concepts and owners of innovative projects.

During the event, participants were provided with detailed information about the modern startup ecosystem and key aspects of creating and developing innovative businesses. In particular, topics such as “The First Step in Business: Startup Fundamentals”, the comprehensive startup support system in Uzbekistan, stages of startup project implementation, as well as the concepts of innovation and artificial intelligence were covered.

The training also addressed topics such as value proposition, the Customer Development approach, hypothesis testing using the HADI cycle, market analysis and evaluation using TAM, SAM and SOM indicators, the MVP model and mechanisms for testing startup hypotheses.

Participants also gained practical knowledge on startup financial modeling and monetization methods, project management, team building, establishing business partnerships, as well as attracting and effectively utilizing investment.

The event further explored opportunities for developing IT startup exports in Uzbekistan. In addition, a masterclass was held featuring successful startup founders, along with a demonstration of project pitching and defense in a DEMO DAY format.

As a result of the seminar-training, participants acquired essential knowledge and practical skills in startup creation, development and investment attraction.
