The Graduate School of Business and Entrepreneurship places great importance on expanding international cooperation in innovative entrepreneurship and the development of the green economy.
In this context, representatives of the Graduate School held a meeting with Mr. Takuya Nomura, CEO of the Knowledge Capital Association.
During the meeting, the Japanese side was presented with an overview of Uzbekistan’s growing startup ecosystem, the activities of the Graduate School and the country’s broader efforts to support innovative entrepreneurship and advance the green economy.
For his part, T. Nomura commended the initiatives of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to develop the startup ecosystem, advance digitalization and building a "green" economy.
It was also noted that Uzbekistan is actively developing its creative economy. Many countries around the world, including Japan, are supporting their creative industries and integrating them with traditional sectors to generate innovative approaches, products and technologies.
The Knowledge Capital Association is located in the Umekita area in the center of Osaka, as a platform that brings together academia, business and government to jointly support startups, develop digital technologies and create new value through the exchange of diverse knowledge.
“Knowledge Capital” fosters the creation of sustainable startups, building value through creativity and innovative technology.
This approach bringing together an innovation ecosystem, digital transformation, and sustainable urban development is of particular interest to Uzbekistan, given the country's ongoing efforts to support startups, advance digitalization, and build a green economy.
Additionally, representatives from Knowledge Capital presented opportunities for startups and innovative businesses from Uzbekistan to enter the Japanese and broader Asian markets.
Following the meeting, the two sides agreed on key directions for further cooperation between the Graduate School of Business and Entrepreneurship and the Knowledge Capital Association.
These include establishing business ties between the parties, organizing business dialogues with leading innovative companies, sharing experience in green urban management and sustainable development and supporting the entry of Uzbek innovative enterprises into Asian markets.
