A training seminar was held in the Navoi region, jointly organized by the regional branch of the Graduate School of Business and Entrepreneurship and the IT Park branch in the Navoi region.
During the event, IT Park representative O. Abduraimov informed participants about the current areas of support for startup projects. Special attention was given to incubation and acceleration programs, within which entrepreneurs can go through the entire journey from idea to creating an MVP (minimum viable product) free of charge, learn how to acquire first customers, and build a proper business model with the support of specialists.
Opportunities for mentorship support were also presented, involving the assignment of experienced entrepreneurs and experts to projects, helping them avoid common mistakes in the early stages of development.
Issues of startup financing were also discussed, including state and international grants, as well as mechanisms for assisting in attracting investment for promising projects.
Participants were informed about the benefits of IT Park residency status, including tax incentives and access to modern co-working spaces.
T. Kholboyev, an employee of the Navoi regional branch of the Graduate School of Business and Entrepreneurship, also spoke about the differences between traditional business and startups. It was noted that traditional business is focused on stable income and local markets, while startups aim to find scalable technological solutions to global problems and achieve rapid growth.
The event served as an effective platform for increasing young people’s awareness of modern tools for entrepreneurship development and the startup ecosystem in Uzbekistan.
