Expanding Regional Cooperation in Support of Small Business

Тhe Graduate School of Business and Entrepreneurship and the Joint-Stock Company “Entrepreneurship Development Company” held an online meeting dedicated to strengthening collaboration between the regional branches of both organizations in support of small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) development.

The Entrepreneurship Development Company was represented by O. Sagdiev, Head of the Department for Government Programs and Non-Financial Services, along with the heads of the company’s regional branches.

The Graduate School of Business and Entrepreneurship was represented by G. Usmanov, Head of the Center for Cooperation with Business Incubators and Startup Projects, B. Ishmukhamedov, Deputy Head of the Regional Branches Coordination Department and regional branch directors and staff.

Both parties delivered detailed presentations on their activities, confirming the alignment of their strategic objectives.

The Entrepreneurship Development Company provides comprehensive government support to SMEs facilitating job creation, fostering innovation, promoting the adoption of modern technologies and offering financial and non-financial assistance to the self-employed.

The Graduate School runs business education programs across all regions of the country, equipping people with the knowledge and skills to start and manage their own businesses. In addition to training, regional branches of the Graduate School organize events and consultations aimed at strengthening the local entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The two organizations complement each other: Тhe Entrepreneurship Development Company develops government support instruments, while the Graduate School ensures their accessibility to the public at the regional level. Together, they ensure that public across the regions have both the knowledge and the practical means to launch and grow a business.

The parties agreed to jointly conduct organize awareness and training events in the regions, offer short-term practice-oriented courses for aspiring entrepreneurs and hold expert consultations involving specialists from both organizations.

Special focus will be placed on raising public awareness of available government support measures, including preferential lending, subsidies and guarantee schemes for SMEs and the self-employed.
