Specialists of the Graduate School of Business and Entrepreneurship have identified new export markets for the textile industry of Uzbekistan - diversification of export geography is of strategic importance for Uzbekistan in the context of global economic uncertainties and shifts in trade chains.

According to the results of the conducted research, more than 20 new potential export markets for 13 product groups were identified for the textile industry of Uzbekistan.

The identified markets include the following countries: India, China, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Pakistan, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Great Britain and other promising destinations. In these countries, import demand is high, market concentration is relatively low, and logistical and trade conditions are optimal. These factors create new entry opportunities for exporters from Uzbekistan.

Analysis shows that Uzbekistan's current share in many markets is low, which means there is untapped export potential.

In terms of regions, Namangan, Fergana, Andijan, Samarkand and Syrdarya regions stood out as regions with high export potential for a number of textile products.

The study was conducted on the basis of a specially developed New Market Index (NMI) and the following factors were comprehensively assessed: import demand and growth, trade compatibility (TCI), level of competition, logistics costs, market "white space" level and international buyer signals.

The analysis is based on more than 95,000 buyer signals and nearly 500,000 trade observations and the results are of practical importance for making real export decisions.

Overall, the research findings demonstrate significant opportunities for Uzbekistan's textile industry to expand export geography, access high value-added segments and strengthen its participation in global value chains.
