Meeting with the OSCE Project Coordinator in Uzbekistan

On February 19th, the Graduate School of Business under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with the Project Coordinator of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in Uzbekistan, Ambassador Antti Karttunen.
During the meeting, participants discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation within the joint project “Promoting the Training of Managerial Personnel for the Development of the Green Economy.”
Representatives of the project office “Green Economy Project Center” and the Department for Coordination of Green Economy Transition and Development at the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan also took part in the discussions.
Ambassador Antti Karttunen emphasized OSCE’s strong commitment to addressing climate change, environmental protection, water and energy resource shortages, and the adoption of green technologies in various economic sectors.
The OSCE Project Coordinator’s Office in Uzbekistan expressed full support for the Graduate School of Business’s initiative to strengthen the capacity of managerial personnel in the green economy. The project holds particular significance as Uzbekistan has declared 2025 the “Year of Environmental Protection and the Green Economy.”
Deputy Director of the Graduate School of Business, M. Adilov, voiced confidence that the joint project will significantly enhance managerial expertise in sustainable development and the adoption of green technologies.
Discussions also covered opportunities to improve and achieve international accreditation for the Graduate School of Business’s academic programs. The agenda included inviting foreign experts to deliver lectures and training sessions for corporate sector and public administration representatives.
After the meeting, an agreement was reached to maintain an active dialogue and collaborate on planned initiatives to expand partnerships in education.
