The course gives bankers the knowledge and practical tools to integrate ESG factors into the bank’s work: corporate governance, risk management and strategy. Over five days, participants explored board-level ESG governance and how to account for climate and environmental risks in the credit portfolio. They also discussed sustainable finance instruments, ESG assessment of borrowers, ESG reporting under international standards and approaches to a bank’s ESG transformation.

Each day ended with an interactive session built around a practical case study. Participants acted as a supervisory board, a credit committee and a risk committee. They assessed borrowers’ ESG risks, made ESG-informed credit decisions and prepared recommendations for the board of directors.

The course is accredited by The CPD Certification Service, an independent UK organisation. This confirms that the programme’s content and quality meet international standards of continuing professional development.
