On 8 September 2026, the Graduate School of Business and Entrepreneurship hosted a forum in a business dialogue format on the topic “Developing Entrepreneurship through E-Commerce: Opportunities for Entering Foreign Markets via the Wildberries Trading Platform”.

The forum was organised by the Graduate School of Business and Entrepreneurship jointly with Wildberries. It brought together more than 100 participants in total, including entrepreneurs, manufacturers, artisans and trading companies, as well as Wildberries experts and specialists in the field of marketplaces.

Promoting the products of national manufacturers in foreign markets requires, first and foremost, new sales channels that are accessible to small businesses. E-commerce enables local entrepreneurs to enter foreign markets directly, without investing in a retail network abroad or committing substantial funds to logistics.

For the districts of the Republic, this means new opportunities for developing local production and creating additional jobs locally. Demand for products made in the mahalla is generated in foreign markets, while employment in production, packaging, pick-up points and delivery remains in place and does not require relocation to major cities.

It should be noted that e-commerce operates as an open market in which sellers compete openly. Under these conditions, results are determined by product quality, delivery discipline and data-driven sales management. These were the matters to which the forum was devoted.

The opening session of the forum reviewed the current state of e-commerce development globally, as well as trends and prospects for e-commerce in Uzbekistan. Attention was drawn to the need to develop warehousing and logistics infrastructure within the country, which creates the conditions for reducing delivery times and costs and strengthens the competitiveness of Uzbek products in foreign markets.

The practical session covered the full cycle of marketplace operations, including seller registration and achieving first sales, seller-fulfilled delivery models, promotion tools and the automation of advertising campaigns, as well as assortment management based on turnover and profitability indicators for individual items.

In addition, the Wildberries marketplace separately presented its “Growth Platform” programme, aimed at supporting manufacturers and sellers in Uzbekistan.

The forum continued the series of joint events held by the Graduate School of Business and Entrepreneurship and Wildberries in all regions of the Republic to support small and medium-sized businesses in the field of e-commerce.
