Special training courses “School for Women Leaders” have been organized in Uzbekistan for several years with the aim of developing women's leadership skills and preparing them for managerial positions.

The project is aimed at supporting active, proactive women leaders with knowledge and sufficient skills in their fields, as well as empowering them.

On January 20 of this year, the opening ceremony of these training courses took place at the “Youth Creativity Palace”. The program was organized by the Agency for the Development of Public Service under the President in cooperation with the Committee on Family and Women’s Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Members of the Oliy Majlis, representatives of the Presidential Administration, government officials, representatives of ministries and agencies, participants of the training program, and media representatives attended the event.

During the opening ceremony, speakers emphasized the importance of improving the system for training qualified management personnel, particularly focusing on enhancing the social and political activity of women and their active involvement in the decision-making process for key state issues. It was also noted that it is essential to purposefully train candidates to form a talent pool of potential women leaders. The main goals and objectives of the program were thoroughly explained.

The fourth season of these specialized training courses is being held at the Graduate School of Business and Entrepreneurship under the Cabinet of Ministers. This initiative aims to create new opportunities for improving the qualifications of women leaders and preparing young women leaders with high professional potential who actively participate in implementing innovative reforms.

For reference: Presidential Decree № DP-87 of March 7, 2022, “On measures to further accelerate the work on systemic support for families and women”, provides for the development and implementation of an educational program entitled “School for Women Leaders.”

The special training courses are improving the qualifications of about 100 women selected from across the country. These are leading specialists and successful entrepreneurs from various spheres who, during the training, will develop their abilities and contribute to the country’s development.

The educational process is conducted with the participation of highly qualified experts and includes training in the effective application of management mechanisms and the implementation of innovative solutions.
