On 30 July 2026, the Graduate School of Business and Entrepreneurship, in cooperation with the international e-commerce platform Wildberries and the Kokand City Khokimiyat, held a seminar entitled "Supporting Small and Medium-Sized Businesses through E-commerce" in Kokand.

The seminar placed particular emphasis on manufacturing and trading companies, for which e-commerce has become a powerful driver of growth. By providing direct access to international markets, creating new sales channels and enabling businesses to present their products to a broad global audience without intermediaries, e-commerce opens up significant opportunities for business expansion.

The event brought together representatives of the Kokand City Khokimiyat, the Graduate School of Business and Entrepreneurship and Wildberries.

The seminar was attended by 60 business leaders, including artisans, representatives of small and medium-sized enterprises, trading companies and consumer goods manufacturers.

Wildberries experts highlighted that the rapid development of e-commerce is creating demand for new professions and competencies, such as marketplace managers and e-commerce specialists. This trend is generating additional employment opportunities while strengthening the region's human capital.

For manufacturing and trading enterprises in Kokand, expanding onto e-commerce platforms represents a strategic opportunity to significantly increase sales volumes, reach millions of potential customers, diversify sales markets and strengthen their positions in international markets while reducing dependence on traditional sales channels.

As part of the seminar's practical programme, participants visited several local enterprises Amaliy Samara LLC, My Seven Technology LLC and Avilon Kokand LLC. The visits provided an opportunity to gain first-hand insight into production processes and to assess the prospects for bringing locally manufactured products to e-commerce marketplaces.
